In Android 4.1, the Sound Search widget was added. It allows you to identify the current song that is playing in the background just by listening to it. However, this was limited to Android 4.1. Not anymore. You can now get it from the Google Play store. It does require Android 4.0 and higher, however.
This means more to Android than just another widget. Google seems to be taking steps to bringing a Nexus experience to non Nexus phones. Gmail for Android was recently updated to match that on Android 4.2, and prior to that Google Calender was put up for download. So what does this mean? Maybe one day we will all have stock Android apps on our phones, even if not the latest version of Android.
