Google Wallet To Gain New Features To Defend Itself From Apple's Passbook

Currently Google Wallet is limited to purchases, but not for long. Google plans on bringing a new functionality to the service in response to Apple's Passbook. With these new features, Google Wallet will not only hold credit card information but also tickets, boarding passes, ID's, and more. The goal is to eliminate leather wallets once and for all.

Passbook on iOS 6 can do this also, but it can't act as a credit card (unless the next iPhone has Near Field Communication). Although this is Apple's first attempt to into mobile wallets, it's official; the war between Google and Apple has gotten even bigger.
